I had so much fun styling this gorgeous Bridgerton wedding shoot inspired by everyone’s favorite Netflix show! The first spark of inspiration came when I saw POSH Bridal’s new floral gown, with a romantic sweetheart neckline, off-the-shoulder balloon sleeves, and a stunning watercolor floral pattern. It looked like something out of a fairytale! Instantly, I wanted to plan a styled shoot around the dress. A Bridgerton theme felt like the perfect choice, given the show’s popularity and how it has inspired this year’s wedding trends.
Elizabeth Farms is a venue I work at often, so they were very accommodating to allow me to design this shoot inside their bridal suite. They even painted the fireplace brick white to match the theme and hung a gold mirror I provided over the mantle! I can’t thank them enough for their flexibility and support of this creative endeavor. If you’re a period romance super-fan (like me!) and want to plan a Bridgerton wedding, look no further for all the inspiration you need!
Bridgerton is notorious for its over-the-top floral designs, and I wanted to replicate that look within the Elizabeth Farms bridal suite. To set the stage for the shoot, I installed greenery in a vine pattern on the walls and ceiling to make it look like it had grown there naturally. I focused the design around the fireplace area and above the settee. Then, I installed cascading arrangements of blue, pink, and ivory flowers with scattered petals and greenery for a lush, romantic feel. Softly glowing baby blue and ivory tapers in vintage-inspired gold candle holders added to the effect.
I watched Beauty and the Beast with my son one week before the shoot and felt inspired to add one last element to the design when I saw the rose in the glass vase. I found an elegant glass cloche and used a clear flower frog pin to hold a beautiful, blush rose in place. It was the perfect finishing touch! However, my favorite detail of the shoot was the authentic Lady Whistledown letter the models used as a prop. They pretended to be reading the latest town gossip, and it set the shoot apart as a Bridgerton wedding rather than a generic, romantic fairytale wedding. The Lady Whistledown logo would be a perfect detail to add to day-of stationery like menus or place cards for a real wedding!
When it comes to styling weddings and shoots like this one, I genuinely believe my background as a massage therapist comes into play. In that career, I had to connect with clients and build trust within the first minutes of meeting them. A massage room is a vulnerable environment, and the client needs to feel safe with you in that space! Similarly, as a wedding planner and florist, I strive to build trust in my first consultations with brides. I want them to have peace of mind that I will execute their dream event to the utmost standard!
In addition, I’ve always had a passion for fashion, design, styling, and decor. Even in massage treatment rooms, I always thought of ways to uplevel the space or design my own spa! I’m notorious for being a little “extra” in my personal life, always coming up with fun event themes for something as casual as a girls’ night. I’ve always shown love for the people in my life through the little details, and that has translated seamlessly into a career as a wedding planner and floral designer. The details are crucial to a styled shoot like this Bridgerton wedding, taking it from so-so to wow-worthy with just a few extra touches!
I’ll take the same detail-oriented approach to your wedding day, leaving no stone unturned so that your day isn’t just beautiful but stress-free for you and your loved ones. Are you ready to turn your vision for your Lancaster wedding into reality? Let’s connect! I can’t wait to meet you and hear what you’re envisioning.
